The Higgs boson, however, only exists at high energies -and only lasts for fractions of a second, then decays into other particles. If CERN scientists can accelerate particles to the speed of light, they will observe the highest recorded energies, which should allow a look at the Higgs boson. Back in 2001, CERN's Large Electron Positron (LEP), the precursor to the LHC, found what it believed to be evidence of the elusive particle. Without conclusive data, however, CERN scientists worried the Fermilab collider in the US, just outside Chicago, would observe the particle first. Fermilab got close, but no quantum cigar. Will the Higgs boson allow time travel? The Higgs boson itself won’t allow time travel. But the LHC may, say some scientists. Remember String Theory, the contending grand theory of the universe? It claims that the world is made of tiny vibrating strings. It also claims that there exist 10 dimensions to space time (we currently observe only four: think of a point, a square, a box, and time). If true, then the LHC may create the high-energy environments that enable particles to jump in and out of these six hidden dimensions. Year 2040 - CHETANA, 25, is a biochemistry research student at MIT. In the 2040 Human Genome, has been explored till the last Gene and its functions, could be altered and there is a cure for every known disease, except death, which nobody wants to go through. Stem Cells are widely in use to grow and replace every organ in the Human Body. CHETANA wants to find a CURE for DEATH, and takes up her research. Her Father A Nobel Laureate in Physics guides her and encourages her to pursue CHETANA’s research in AUROVILLE - a Universal Township in southern India. Where she meets her destined soul mate SATYA, an artist and ecologist, who becomes her beloved and the very research subject of her heart and love. In his spiritual companionship, she learns that death can not be cured from the 3 dimensional database of the Human Genome, unless, she goes beyond the Human Genome, into the Fourth Dimension of the Cellular Consciousness - where there is a lever or key to death.
For this she has to find a solace in the spiritual, inner discipline by which she can enter and find her true consciousness. CHETANA, her very name given by her father suggests the meaning, CONSCIOUSNESS. Consciousness is a fundamental thing, the reality of the existence - it is the energy, the motion, the movement of consciousness that creates the universe and all that is in it - not only the macrocosm but the microcosm is nothing but consciousness arranging itself. When it forgets itself in the form it becomes the electron, the atom, the cell, the Gene, the material object. Thus, there are many Dimensions above us and below us and inside us. As we unfold these dimensions in the consciousness, we arrive at the creative principle that is the pure fount of Divine Love, which can alter the code of death and manifest the Life Divine.
Love is one of the essential aspects of the Divine and self-giving of Divine Love holocaust is a fundamental principle of the Universe. Without Love these centres (we) would remain eternally separate. Each would evolve in its own way, without deep contact with the others. What would be lacking is the consciousness of its’ identity with the Divine and of its underlying connection with the Divine and of its underlying connection with the other centres. CHETANA’S father Dr.Jagapati Chaturvedi, Nobel laureate in Physics, explores the 14 Dimensions in the Matter beyond the 6th QUARK and beyond the Unified field. Meets the Creatrix Consciousness of Divine Love and gets boon to deliver the earth from death and ignorance by taking birth as his daughter. Thus was born CHETANA as a result of her father’s aspiration as representative of the Human aspiration to conquer death and suffering. As CHETNA and SATYA grew inseparable and find that each other closer than their own heart strings, they decide to join their lives like a folded offering. CHETNA takes leave to see her parents in Massachusetts, to announce her heart’s quest and precious findings. NARTO, an Alien being from the Kingdoms of the Greater Knowledge, who were friendly with Dr.Jagpati, reveal the fatal future of CHETNA’s beloved SATYA. NARTO reveals under compulsion that SATYA has only twelve more months to live. This day returning SATYA must die.
Hearing the fatal fate of CHETNA, her mother RACHEL asks her to choose some one again in place of SATYA. Then CHETNA replies “Strength of my spirit’s will is reater than the law of fate. Once I have chosen, I won’t choose again.”
CHETNA joins SATYA in AUROVILLE and concentrates more intensely on her research. But never reveals the future knowledge to SATYA. As the fatal day approaches, CHETNA’S quest and hearts research too intensifies by her own pain of love. She looks into herself and seeks for her True Consciousness, the cosmic past is revealed to her in a series of dream images…breaking through her subtle physical, she enters into chaos of Subconscious and then lower vital, higher vital, inner vital, pigmy mind, vital mind, intellect, elite mind regions. Then she gets the guidance by beings of light to continue her inward journey. Where she meets the three Madonna’s, who claim to be her true conscious selves, MADONNA OF SYMPATHY AND LOVE, MADONNA OF MIGHT AND POWER and the MADONNA OF LIGHT AND WISDOM. But CHETNA denies them, as they are only her soul forces working under the ASURIC deformation. She further goes on promising to bring back to them true love, power and wisdom to realize the holly marriage of Earth and Heaven, Matter and Spirit, thus whole universe become a divine family.
Onward she passes looking for her secret cave of consciousness in the depths of her heart centre. At first she enters in the Supernal Darkness before the Divine Dawn. All her thoughts and hopes fail, mind becomes mute, as if there are no steps of breathing men. She realizes the witness self or Purusha and going further she enters into a chamber of flame and light, there she meets her true conscious self, one eternal portion and other human self, in a moment, with a magical transforming speed they rush into each other and become one. There is no more wall that separates the Mind from True Consciousness. Her being seen sitting in the deep lotus home of her heart. Her spirit calls down the Divine Consciousness into the Lotus home of her heart. In a moment as in a flash, the Divine-Conscious force descends into her heart. A mighty movement rocks the inner space as if the world was awakened from its sleep and found the soul. Aroused from its sleep a fiery serpent rises up out of the soulless and mindless dark night of the Inconscient. Unwinding its coils rises up and touches and kisses all the Centres. (Kundalini Yoga by mighty descent). Many Powers and Divinities burst forth from their hidden place and each part of the Being of CHETNA vibrates with delight and overwhelms with waves of happiness.
“O soul, my soul, we have created Heaven,
Within we have found the kingdom here of God,
His fortress built in a loud ignorant world.
Our life is entrenched between two rivers of Light;
We have turned space into a gulf of peace
And made the body a Capitol of bliss.
What more, what more, if more must still be done?”
In the slow process of the evolving spirit,
In the brief stade between a death and birth
A first perfection’s stage is reached at last;
Out of the wood and stone of our nature’s stuff
A temple is shaped where the high gods could live.
Even if the struggling world is left outside
One man’s perfection still can save the world.
There is won a new proximity to the skies,
A first betrothal of the Earth to Heaven,
A deep concordat between Truth and Life:
A camp of God is pitched in human time.”
No more does she see the dark formation of Fate around the beloved head of SATYA; instead, her newly - opened foreseeing eye perceives a golden halo around SUPERNAL radiance, revealing a fully rounded victorious life. Once as she is sitting deeply happy in contemplation, still vibrating to the thrill of SATYA’S strong embrace spanning earth and heaven with her joy, transported to the very heavens in her bliss, suddenly an abyss open wide beneath her heart. A Dark Voice speaks to her: "Know thyself finally for what thou truly art. Know that thou art not real. Cease to strive after all this vain existence".
Then this shadow of the all Negating Absolute passes, the Darkness that would allow nothing else to exist surges past; and the dominating voice ebbs away leaving behind CHETNA’S inner world laid waste by its vibrations. Thus she passes through the Buddha’s NIRVANA state of being.
Then a greater Voice comes down from the heights of her being. It is the Word that straight touches the heart and discovers the soul; it is the voice of the abiding Light after the Voice the dark Night dies down. The unnerving cry of the abyss below has drawn forth the reply from Heaven above. The might of the storm is driven away by the might of the eternal sun of truth.
“O soul, do not expose thy kingdom to the enemy. Conceal thy sovereignty of bliss so that Time and Fate may not find their way to invade it. Hide, while still thou canst, thy precious individual self behind thy luminous depths, till it grows part of a vaster self and so becomes invulnerable.
Suspend for a while thy state of divinity that thou hast realized lately, and consent to be small and human on this earth in order that man may come to discover his real being in God.” CHETNA hears this mighty and uplifting voice. She bows her head and muses, delving into her own depths in the solitude of her soul, in that Night of silence. Liberation into formlessness comes upon CHETNA. Once entombed alive in material brain and flesh she now rises above body, mind, life. She ceases to be a finite Person in the world; To all she appears to be the same as before; her acts move in the same old grooves, her words are the same as those she has always spoken, her doings the same as those she has always done. Only her consciousness that watches is different; it is empty of everything; the bare Reality alone remains.
She becomes the bed on which the whole Cosmos flowers. She is Time and the pourings of Divine in Time; she is Space and the extension of Divine in his becomings. From this too she rises into a state beyond Time and Space. She breathes the air of the Superconscient; the whole infinity is the natural space for her movement: She becomes one with Eternity and through her Eternity looks upon Time.
One day as CHETNA is in her deep contemplation, suddenly her bodies CELLS awaken and dance with Joy and FREEDOM. She hears a voice:” Almighty powers are shut in nature’s cells.” Her consciousness becomes micro and listens to cellular mind and voice of the cells. CHETNA goes into those towers of the DNA and into something new: a glimpse of pulsing light from which those lattices were made. It was terrifying… she glimpses their atomic pattern!!! She is pulled into the depths. Suddenly there was a freedom - CHETNA’s CONSCIOUSNESS feels it. CHETNA moves through her body, as if it is a swarming sea. RIBOSOMES, MITOCHONDRIA, STRANDS of RNA filled the space she moved through. Gently she is getting to know them.
Someday… perhaps, I’ll assist in their slight reconstruction. Then, through a gentle nod of the head, the old code will give way to new TIDINGS. What gives you the sense of a REAL existence - that particular sensation has to disappear and is replaced by… SOME THING, which is beyond words. It’s like a Universal pulsation.A sort of completely decentralised consciousness (still speaking of physical consciousness) a decentralised consciousness that happened to be here, or there in this body, that body, (in what people call ‘this person’ or ‘that person’ - but that notion no longer makes much sense).
Then, a sort of Universal consciousness intervened among the cells, and it was as if that consciousness were asking the CELLS. Voice of the Universal Consciousness speaks: “Why you want to keep this present combination or aggregate … the difficulties resulting from the great number of years… the external limitations, or all the deterioration caused by wear and tear.”
Cells indifferently reply: “but it won’t make any difference for us???”
Voice speaks:” look here are the problems…these problems were clearly seen. The minds ingrained sort of pessimism.”
Cells reply:” we couldn't care less!!! It seems like an accident or an unavoidable disease. Anyway.. It is not part of our normal development. (cells looking at each other) and this had been forced upon us. We don’t care!! (reckless naughty cells)
From that moment on there emerged a sort of ‘lower power’ to act on that physical mind of cells, which brought about a material ability to separate oneself from it and reject it… it really seemed something decisive had happened. So then, there was a kind of burst of confident joy.
CHETNA’s conscious being of Light so VAST embraces the whole earth, the whole of matter all men in it… changes to luminous spots of CELLS. ONE BODY of light…It’s all LIGHT, all-power, all-LOVE; it’s so full that nothing else can exist beside that. DEATH is an illusion, sickness is an illusion, ignorance is an illusion! - Something that has no reality, no existence… only LOVE and LOVE, and LOVE - immense, formidable, stupendous, carrying everything. And the thing is DONE. Cells like attentively this VOICE
Cells jumping with joy, cry:” at last, we are free of this nightmare! We are f…r..e..eeee”
Thus CHETNA in the Fourth Dimension of her Universal consciousness conquers death, indeed mutates them and alters their genetic code of habit of death in the mind and consciousness of the cells itself.
The fatal day arrives and it is their first wedding anniversary. Early morning CHETANA’s goes to Matrimandir to concentrate and wakes up still sleeping SATYA with a deep kiss and embraces him, she reminds him the day and he wishes her. That day CHETNA goes with SATYA to Aurogreen Forest to accompany him. She is no more grieving in herself; she is calm, ready to face the fatal stroke of the fate.
In the noon, while driving in the forest suddenly with a cry of chest pain, SATYA clings to CHETNA’s shoulders. She takes him out and makes him lie in her lap while SATYA asks her “ CHETNA.. CHETNA.. CHETNA.. KISS ME WHILE I DIE” and uttering these words collapses… she KISSES him and persuades to bring back his life with her living mouth…. She feels near her a huge silent shadow of darkness making dark and chilly the bright and warm light of noon. She realizes that Death in a visible form is standing there and that SATYA has passed away from her embrace.
For the Life Divine to really begin on earth death must be conquered... it must end... CHETNA must win SATYA back.... this she does, fulfilling her research and her Love... DEATH is a psychological concept which has to be conquered in the most physical sense of mind …this we see in the next series…FOURTH DIMENSION - Love and Death.
The Tale of SATYAVAN and SAVITRI
The tale SATYAVAN and SAVITRI - a conjugal love story was recited in the Vana Parva of MAHABHARATA, described in 300 shlokas or 600 hemistichs to convey the entire story. SAVITRI is well known and adored among Hindu Woman in India, as a PATIVRATA- a dedicated wife, and her power of devotion to her husband and her flower sweet, adamant, passionate and calm love that wins back her husband from the clutches of the Lord of Death, YAMA.
The legend goes that ASHWAPATI, the king of MADRA, his queen MALWI who had no progeny for a long time, takes up an 18 year long Austerity -TAPASYA to please GAYATRI - The Divine Mother, in order to get a boon of a child. GAYATRI blesses ASHWAPATI with a girl child. The girl child of incarnated beauty and love grows up like a flame. She is Princess SAVITRI, who blossoms as a most beautiful woman IN THE WORLD, possessing multi-faced talent and knowledge in all arts and sciences. By the time she is 18 years old, her name spreads among all the countries and no eligible Prince dares to come forward to hold her hand, due to her divine beauty and knowledge. She was too far and high for a human Prince to stretch his hand. When, nobody comes forward to marry his daughter, King ASWAPATI, asks his daughter to take a world tour and find her soul-mate on her own.
Thus SAVITRI travels all around the world with her Royal entourage for a period of 2 years and meets various handsome men, Princes, Sages and moves through various cities, palaces, holy cities and Ganges. Nowhere could she find her destined soul-mate. At the end of her journey after 2 years, while she was passing through a wild forest she meets and finds her soul mate, a hermit sage SATYAVAN, son of DUMATSENA and SHAIBYA. DYUMTSENA is a blind king, who also lost his kingdom and had been living in the forest with his son and wife. Thus SAVITRI finds SATYAVAN and Love in the wilderness met SAVITRI. They recognise each other and SAVITRI marries SATYVAN - Gandharva Vivaha- in that wild forest far from her Royal pomp. Soon after she takes leave from SATYVAN and his parents, to inform her parents about SATYAVN and their union, and promising to return back soon to live with him forever and never part again.
SAVITRI returns to her father's Kingdom MADRA and meets her parents and joyously reveals her destined meeting with SATYAVAN and their union in the wild forest hermitage. When King ASWAPATI in a joyous mood of celebration of her daughter, one day, in his Royal court there come a Heavenly Sage NARADA- an extra-terrestrial being, with foreknowledge and a body of light, a Seer and a divine singer, a traveller of the worlds, who can travel anywhere in the UNIVERSE in fraction of seconds - visits the King ASWAPATI. ASWAPATI and MALWI welcome NARAD with Royal honours and then reveal SAVITRI's choice and her meeting with SATYAVAN. NARAD listens to all and praises SATYAVAN and SAVITRI'S choice. But, keeps silent knowing the foreknowledge and the impending doom in the union of couple. Sensing this, after the long persuasion of MALWI and ASWAPATI, at last NARAD reveals the ill Fate of SAVITRI, saying: "SATYAVAN is a marvel of heaven and earth, but 12 swift winged months are given to him and her and this day returns SATYAVAN must die."
Listening to the words of NARAD, Queen breaks down and cries, pleads SAVITRI to change her choice. But flower sweet and adamant SAVITRI, denies and stands on the firm ground of her inner choice, says: " Mother, I've chosen once and I'll not choose again, if 12 months are all I've, I spend that with SATYAVAN and gladly face the Fate of Death." Even NARAD consoles ASWAPATI and MALWI saying that “SAVITRI is no ordinary woman and her spirit can face the death with her power of love and devotion to her husband" - saying these words NARAD takes leave and disappears in a fraction of second and zooms towards Heaven.
SAVITRI too takes leave from her parents and joins SATYAVAN in the hermitage. As days pass on the marital bliss, SAVITRI keeps counting days and never reveal the FATE to either to SATYAVAN or to his parents. She behaves as if nothing is going to happen, none know the FATAL DEATH, except her.
Twelve swift winged months pass on and when FATAL DAY approaching SAVITRI'S inner self becomes determined to win death an d bring back SATYAVAN. She observes a thri-ratra vrata- a 3 day and nights penance to please the Goddess DURGA and prepares herself to face the death. That day SATYAVAN goes to forest as usual to get the fire wood, but that day SAVITRI insists to accompany him to the forest. In the noon as SATYAVAN is ready to cut the wood as he lifts the axe and cries with pain in the chest and collapses in the SAVITRI'S lap. SATYVAN cries "O SAVITRI, SAVITRI, SAVITRI….KISS ME while I DIE". SAVITRI persuades him with her KISS in vain and realises that the DEATH is standing in front of her with dreadful eyes . SAVITRI concentrates and her subtle being follows DEATH who is carrying away her beloved SOUL SATYAVAN.
As DEATH marching forward possessing the soul of SATYAVAN, in her subtle being SAVITRI follows DEATH adamantly, passionately with a calm inner strength. DEATH tries in every possible way and mocks SAVITRI and her Love.
But SAVITRI doesn't give up and goes behind DEATH, passing through many planes on and on demanding her husband's life.
At last pleased by SAVITRI'S devotion and love for SATYAVAN he grants her 3 boons and asks her to return to Earth. Clever and flower sweet SAVITRI asks her father in-law DUMATSEN'S eye sight and the lost kingdom and 100 sons like SATYAVAN. DEATH instantly sanctions all the BOONS and asks SAVITRI to return back to earth and be happy. But here comes the twist in the legend, when SAVITRI questions DEATH, "Thank You my Lord! But, how can I have children without my husband on Earth? You Immortals can have that but we mortals need a husband to have children". This was a very clever and witty part of SAVITRI and adamant and sweet way of SAVITRI to fix the DEATH. Then at last realizing his mistake of giving away the BOONS, (these higher Heavenly beings are known to keep their word and promise), thus, DEATH defeated and releases the SOUL of SATYAVAN. And, blesses SATYAVAN, with 400 years of Life on Earth.
SAVITRI returns back to EARTH VICTORIOUSLY with SATYVAN'S SOUL and meets SHAIBYA and DUMATSENA gaining back his eye sight and KINGDOM, thereafter she lives happily forever with her beloved SATYAVAN.
This is the original Legend written by Veda Vyasa about 5000 years ago in MAHABHARAT and recited as a tale of conjugal love in the Vana Parva, the third of the 18 parts of the monumental work. Pandavas, after living twelve years in a forest, fallowed by one year living incognito - it's towards this twelve year period that Rishi Markandeya visits the Pandavas, and in response to the query of Yudhishthira, Markandeya narrates the story of SAVITRI. Thus, the actual Tale of SATYAVAN and SAVTRI happened much before that about few thousands of years or so.
The Composition of SAVITRI -A Legend and A Symbol
In the early 20th century Sri Aurobindo read the Savitri-episode of the Mahabharata in Sanskrit while he was in Baroda. He expressed appreciation of its style in his ``Notes on the Mahabharata'', written around 1901. Sri Aurobindo having studied great epics around the world in Greek, Latin, German, French languages could not find any similar tale like Satyavan and Savitri, where "a conjugal Love conquering Death".
There is a legendary love story of Urvasi and Pururava in Kalidasa's "Vikaramorvasi". Urvasi is a heavenly nymph and Pururava is a Prince on earth, they meet and love each other, but at last when Urvasi had to go back to Heaven, Pururava fallows her to Heaven. Then he faces a choice from Heaven, if he wants to live with Uravasi, he has to sacrifice earthly life. He sacrifices earthly life for love and remains in Heaven for Urvasi.
Yet, in another legend of Ruru and Priyamvada, Ruru has to forgo earthly life and settle in the Abyss - Pathala with Priyamvada. Here too love has to sacrifice earthly life for the sake of love.
But, only in the tale of SATYVAN and SAVITRI, love doesn't sacrifice earthly life. SAVITRI brings back her LOVE to earth from the clutches of Death, TO LIVE forever on earth. This is what most attracted part of this legend that inspired Sri Aurobindo to take up SAVITRI- beginning as a narrative poem of moderate length based on a legend told in the Mahabharata.
Sri Aurobindo says:" Hevens we have possessed, Earth we have to yet possess. To make Heaven and Earth equal and one is the object of my Yoga." He considered the story to be originally ``one of the many symbolic myths of the Vedic cycle''. Bringing out its symbolism and charging it progressively with his own spiritual vision, he turned Savitri into the epic it is today- the largest epic poem in English with 24,000 lines of blank verse - A MAGNUM OPUS in English Poetry-the longest love story ever told in the history of the Earth. Why he needed such a huge canvas of multi-fold size, compared to 600 lines of tale in Mahabharata? . Sri Aurobindo explained how he wrote the poem: ``I used Savitri as a means of ascension. I began with it on a certain mental level, each time I could reach a higher level I rewrote from that level.... In fact Savitri has not been regarded by me as a poem to be written and finished, but as a field of experimentation to see how far poetry could be written from one's own yogic consciousness and how that could be made creative.''
Even the Mother explained in her AGENDA with Satprem: “And this is the confusion made by all those people who believed that their ... what they called their ‘personal salvation’ was the salvation of the world – it’s not true at all! It isn’t true – it’s a PERSONAL salvation.
But all of that is wonderfully, accurately expressed and EXPLAINED in Savitri. Only you must know how to read it! The entire last part, from the moment she goes to seek Satyavan in the realm of Death (which affords an occasion to explain this), the whole description of what happens there, right up to the end, where every possible offer is made to tempt her, everything she must refuse to continue her terrestrial labour ... it is my experience EXACTLY.
Savitri is really a condensation, a concentration of the universal Mother – the eternal universal Mother, Mother of all universes from all eternity – in an earthly personality for the Earth’s salvation. And Satyavan is the soul of the Earth, the Earth’s jiva. So when the Lord says, ‘he whom you love and whom you have chosen,’ it means the earth. [37] All the details are there! When she comes back down, when Death has yielded at last, when all has been settled and the Supreme tells her, ‘Go, go with him, the one you have chosen,’ how does Sri Aurobindo describe it? He says that she very carefully takes the SOUL of Satyavan into her arms, like a little child, to pass through all the realms and come back down to earth. Everything is there! He hasn’t forgotten a single detail to make it easy to understand – for someone who knows how to understand. And it is when Savitri reaches the earth that Satyavan regains his full human stature.
Also the Mother said: "He crammed the whole world in a single book" and "SAVITRI is a Mantra for the transformation of the world".
These explanations of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother bring to our minds and hearts, a very clear picture about Sri Aurobindo's SAVITRI - a Legend and a Symbol, is nothing but an autobiographical work (RECORD) of their own Inner Yogic Journey. In the original tale of SATYVAN and SAVITRI, it was a mere personal journey of SAVITRI, a devoted wife, who conquers back her husband’s life from Death -with her power of Love. But in Sri Aurobindo's SAVITRI this legendary tale becomes a mighty SYMBOL for the Twentieth Century, leaping Towards the Future and its INEVITABLE EARTHLY TRANSFORMATION in the progressive Evolution of the EARTH.
An inquisitive mind may question, why then Sri Aurobindo didn't change the names of characters and use their own names in his SAVITRI, instead he used the old names of the legend? Why didn't use the modern names even?. Yes! That's a great question. Because Sri Aurobindo as an Avatar followed the Vedic tradition of Symbolism and narrated a symbolic myth of their (the Mother and Sri Aurobindo's own record of Yoga) own evolutionary Yoga of Earth Transformation. Thus, the backdrop of his epic poem SAVITRI - a modern saga of Man and the Earth, was set in the ancient legendary times and the characters remain same as in the original tale, those are symbolic names. Thus, he calls it SAVITRI - A Legend and a Symbol. A legend is what had happened in the history of mankind and the symbol is what's going on now and what's going to happen in the future.
In his own words Sri Aurobindo describes his epic poem:
“The tale of Satyavan and Savitri is recited in the Mahabharata as a story of conjugal love conquering death. But this legend is, as shown by many features of the human tale, one of the many symbolic myths of the Vedic cycle. Satyavan is the soul carrying the divine truth of being within itself but descended into the grip of death and ignorance; Savitri is the Divine Word, daughter of the Sun, goddess of the supreme Truth who comes down and is born to save; Aswapati, the Lord of the Horse, her human father, is the Lord of Tapasya, the concentrated energy of spiritual endeavour that helps us to rise from the mortal to the immortal planes; Dyumatsena, Lord of the Shining Hosts, father of Satyavan, is the Divine Mind here fallen blind, losing its celestial kingdom of vision, and through that loss its kingdom of glory. Still this is not a mere allegory, the characters are not personified qualities, but incarnations or emanations of living and conscious Forces with whom we can enter into concrete touch and they take human bodies in order to help man and show him the way from his mortal state to a divine consciousness and immortal life."
It is also a well known fact that Sri Aurobindo wanted to work more on the composition of SAVITRI before he left body... that's how in mid 40s, there were periods of rapid and decisive progress in the composition of SAVITRI. But it was to be interrupted the month before Sri Aurobindo's passing in 1950 Dec., a little short of definitive completion. It is said SAVITRI an incomplete completion. If he had a time he could have definitely composed more on the Book of Death. After his passing away the Mother received His Light in her body and continued His work of Transformation and the Supramental Descent in the Matter.
In the first half of the 20th century, much before inventing the Double Helix of DNA in the Chromosome of the Cell; in 1953, by James Watson and Francis Crick, Sri Aurobindo wrote in SAVITRI:
"Almighty powers are shut in Nature's cells.
A greater destiny waits you in your front:" (p370)
Indeed this invention of Double Helix of DNA and rapid progress in all the inventions of modern science in the second half of the 20th century is due to the descent of the Supermind in the Earth Consciousness.
AGENDA
After Sri Aurobindo left body in 1950, in order to hasten the Descent of the Supramental, the Mother prepared HER BODY,to receive the DESCENT of the SUPRAMENTAL TRUTH-CONSCIOUS FORCE and LIGHT in the EARTH atmosphere,in the ONE MATTER of the EARTH, and in Her Bodies CELLS towards this greater destiny of Physical Transformation. In 1956 on 29th of Feb. the SPRAMENTAL DESCENT had taken place through Her Body. This is Sri Aurobindo's incomplete work carried in the Mother's body to complete the COMPOSITION of SAVITRI - which is described vividly by the Mother in her AGENDA with Satprem, year after year for some 19 years till she left Her body in 1973.
Thus, SAVITRI - AGENDA together complete the completion of their YOGA OF TRANSFORMATION and remain forever as a RECORD of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother's INNER JOURNEY of the SUPRAMENTAL YOGA .

Auroville belongs to humanity as a whole.
But to live in Auroville, one must be the willing servitor of the Divine Consciousness.

3.Auroville wants to be the bridge between the past and the future. Taking advantage of all discoveries from without and from within, Auroville will boldly spring towards future realisations.
4.Auroville will be a site of material and spiritual researches for a living embodiment of an actual Human Unity.
Sri Aurobindo's epic poem SAVITRI - a Legend and a Symbol, as I've been growing up and evolving with SAVITRI ever since 1983; my very early days of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, I've realized that SAVITRI as a Legend has no importance for the future, what we need to realize is it's inner content and SYMBOL. This has been my inner conviction and that pursuaded me to work on SAVITRI as a film maker. Thus the adaptation fallowed the SYMBOL through FOURTH DIMENSION.

My 15 years long cherished dream of adapting Sri Aurobindo's epic poem SAVITRI (he crammed the whole world into it)to Hollywood into 7 film sequels-got all that INFINITE and Inevitable destiny of Man and Earthin this progressive evolution to LIVE and FEEL LOVE and ONENESS.
ROBOT - A Shankar film, is a land mark of Indian film and it's distant future in the global arena. The film in a sense beyond TERMINATOR, and could be re-made in Hollywood. The message of the film with all the ingredients of the entertainment film, crossed all the borders of India and especially broke century old jinx for the advent of the South Dusky Hero's in Bollywood.
The film centers on a plot of romance between a woman and an android. Rajini appears in double roles in Enthiran or Robot. The Tamil superstar plays the role of a scientist named Dr: Vasi. As well Rajini gives life for an andro-humanoid, which was developed by his own character Dr: Vasi.
Vasi injects hormones of human emotions to Chitti, name of the android in Robot, without knowing its widespread repercussions. Actually Vasi was stimulated to inject human hormones into an android as his mentor called it a nonsense machine and rejected it to pick it for the army citing reason that the device has no human emotions.
But what happens when Vasi adds hormones of human emotions to Chitti is entirely unexpected. Chitti suddenly turns a human with humans’ feelings and emotions and begin to love Vasi’s girlfriend, Sana, played by Aishwarya Rai. In fact, as analyzed Robot is the first comprehensive sci-fi film in the Bollywood film market. Shankar deserves all credits for the success of this great venture.
Endhiran/ ROBOT stands at either number one or number four in the world its first weekend, depending on who is talking. The producers of the film have not released official figures.The film -- which was showing in some 2,100 screens worldwide -- was certainly the number one film of the world. It beat Resident Evil: Afterlife, which grossed $18 million on 6,000 screens worldwide, according to The-Numbers.com. It totaled to $280 million in its fifth week. The film was made for $50 million and is expected to end its run with $300 million.
ROBOT gives me a great certitude that my dream project 4D is going to be realized and the time has come. The South India power from Auroville, the Supramental Force is working thorough this film and it's clearly visible in all its aspects and stupendous success. FOURTH DIMENSION series got all that is much more and the Inevitable Future of MAN and LOVE and ONENESS.
What makes me more privileged is that during the early years of my film career as an asst.art director, I've worked with Rajnikant for MANIDAN (Good Human) a film by S.P.Mutthu Raman and produced by AVM in 1987. Rajnikant was a very good human being down to earth, though he was a SUPER STAR then itself. He is a Spiritual soul. His Spirit and Self has broken all the barriers of Indian Cinema...I adore and Love him a lot.. remember him with fund memories and really proud of him....as a Dusky South Hero becoming SUPREME HERO of the Nation.
I started out in 1986 as an assistant to a leading Art Director in Mollywood (the South Indian film industry that contributes about 900 films a year, those are technically very advanced using innovative themes), working for top Banners under the direction of Guinness Book director Dr.Dasari Narayana Rao. Then, in 1988, I finally ended up acting in Kodi Rama Krishna's (another 100 films director who was from Dr.Dasari's school) film 'Atta Mechchina Alludu', with Jaya Prada - ‘the most beautiful face of the Indian screen’ - according to the late Academy director Satyajit Ray. When I was getting offers to act, I moved to Bollywood to associate with Tarachand Barjatya of Rajshri Productions while he was producing two of the most successful films ever made in the history of Indian cinema (Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun !). Then in 1992, I met Hema Malini (‘the Dream Girl of Bollywood’) to co-produce, co-direct and act in an epic film (SAVITRI) that was eventually turned into a Hollywood project and compelled me to become a screenwriter. “FOURTH DIMENSION”, the screenplay that followed, is an adaptation of Sri Aurobindo’s epic poem “SAVITRI” - the largest epic poem in English (to be followed by 6 sequels) was ready in 1999 and subsequently registered with the Writer’s Guild of America in LA in February 1999.
Dr.Frederic Spielberg of Stanford University has this to say about this magnificent visionary poem: “I shall not restrict Sri Aurobindo’s greatness to this age only. We have Plato, Spinoza, Kant and Hegel, but they do not have the same all-embracing metaphysical structure, they do not have the same vision”.

The next big leap in the world of entertainment media could be Transcendental Pictures, which explores the inner drama of man and the hidden life forces behind the appearances of the dualities of both good and bad and this has already been the theme of movies in the 20th century. By destroying Evil, it doesn’t end, it simply raises a thousand more heads but the New Age theme would be the transformation of evil into its original Divine nature.
Now in this New Age (New Edge?), 3rd millennium, the genre would include transcendental visual effects and inner drama. This animated clip gives a glimpse of what’s in store in my mind to manifest this project to the world.

But before he can harness these powers, the true Entity within him, the PSYCHIC BEING which is in the Fourth Dimension of the consciousness must come forward and govern his nature. Only then can man triumph over death and ignorance.

Transforming evil into good is exactly what all terrorists want to do, too. That's a dangerous and risky path to follow. And very counterproductive in this day and age. It's also supportive of wrong doing and immorality. Wrong is wrong and right is right.

It was a very good question and carries a lot of reason and logic behind it.
The Transformation I'm talking about doesn't come by destruction or killing but only through LOVE.
If all this creation was a manifestation of the One Supreme Divine Consciousness - where is the question of good and bad?
What we see is the perception of human consciousness. When we rise above the earth and see from above all is light and one.
Ever since the primitive man, we have been fighting for something or the other, killing each other. How much more blood shed do we want?
It was the helper when man was on the primitive vital level but as we grew and evolved now into a great race of mind today, the weapons should be to destroy that mindset or consciousness.
True solution lies in the change of consciousness. Men are only puppets to the hidden life forces or universal forces.
Yes! I agree with the terrorists' justified, vital intensions and their consecration to the truth they believe in, giving a life for the truth they believe in, is really admirable...
But, instead of destroying human lives, if they could destroy the evil nature or consciousness in the world that is working behind the great heads of the world -if they could find an RDX for that, then the world will change.
O Death, thou speakest truth but truth that slays, I answer to thee with the Truth that saves...

This has the potential to be wonderful. Its a great idea, although the medium itself inherently has limitations. It is a good medium for spreading knowledge, and better to be used for worthy knowledge than all the negative ideas usually propagated in films. Dear comrade soul Sylvan, Glad to read your comment and that gives me a great enthusiasm to carry on my mission even after 10 years since the project was conecievd. Yes! that's where exactly I'm waiting for "the Hour" to manifest a new dimesnion in the Hollywood scene and a new dimension to the entertainment media which is most powerful today with all the advanced animation technics. There is nothing impossible to the computer graphics today, except our imagination.
I believe Computer Graphics, Animation and Film together can express Eternal Truth.

I am also very inspired by the fusion of information technology, multi-media, film, and live performance art to explore archetypal story telling (through similar methods which you also describe as "Transcendental Visuals and Inner Drama") in order to communicate and provide new perspectives of the new vision to the global masses. for exampe, i have always thought that an ILM version of the Bagavad Gita would be an increadible production! but your track on Savitri is perhaps even more wonderful!

AN APPEAL TO THE DIVINE (MULTIPLE ONE)
"It is in the Divine that we shall always find all that we need. All our strength is with the Divine. With Him we can surmount all the obstacles." - To realize these words in a complete sense it took me almost 23 years of multiple stumblings. Today, I appeal to the Divine ( Multiple One and My Otherselves ) - only to the DIVINE and depending on Him and to fund this project of a mega budget Hollywood film (followed by 6 sequels), to effect the course of Inevitable evolution of the Love Divine.
Since 1996, the year 4D project was conceived, I've been relentlesly working on this Divine Dream of Unity and Love. Year 2040 - CHETANA, 25, is a biochemistry research student at MIT. In the 2040 Human Genome, has been explored till the last Gene and its functions, could be altered and there is a cure for every known disease, except death, which nobody wants to go through. Stem Cells are widely in use to grow and replace every organ in the Human Body. CHETANA wants to find a CURE for DEATH, and takes up her research. Her Father A Nobel Laureate in Physics guides her and encourages her to pursue CHETANA’s research in AUROVILLE - a Universal Township in southern India. Where she meets her destined soul mate SATYA, an artist and ecologist, who becomes her beloved and the very research subject of her heart and love. In his spiritual companionship, she learns that death can not be cured from the 3 dimensional database of the Human Genome, unless, she goes beyond the Human Genome, into the Fourth Dimension of the Cellular Consciousness - where there is a lever or key to death.
For this she has to find a solace in the spiritual, inner discipline by which she can enter and find her true consciousness. As CHETNA and SATYA grew inseparable and find that each other closer than their own heart strings, they decide to join their lives like a folded offering. NARTO, an Alien being from the Kingdoms of the Greater Knowledge, who were friendly with Dr.Jagpati, reveal the fatal future of CHETNA’s beloved SATYA. NARTO reveals under compulsion that SATYA has only twelve more months to live. The day returning SATYA must die.
Hearing the fatal fate of CHETNA, her mother RACHEL asks her to choose some one again in place of SATYA. Then CHETNA replies “Strength of my spirit’s will is greater than the law of fate. Once I have chosen, I won’t choose again.”
CHETNA joins SATYA in AUROVILLE and concentrates more intensely on her research. But never reveals the future knowledge to SATYA. As the fatal day approaches, CHETNA’S quest and hearts research too intensifies by her own pain of love. Then she gets the guidance by beings of light to continue her inward journey. But CHETNA denies them, as they are only her soul forces working under the ASURIC deformation. Onward she passes looking for her secret cave of consciousness in the depths of her heart centre. At first she enters in the Supernal Darkness before the Divine Dawn. All her thoughts and hopes fail, mind becomes mute, as if there are no steps of breathing men. She realizes the witness self or Purusha and going further she enters into a chamber of flame and light, there she meets her true conscious self, one eternal portion and other human self, in a moment, with a magical transforming speed they rush into each other and become one. There is no more wall that separates the Mind from True Consciousness. Her being seen sitting in the deep lotus home of her heart. Her spirit calls down the Divine Consciousness into the Lotus home of her heart. In a moment as in a flash, the Divine-Conscious force descends into her heart. A mighty movement rocks the inner space as if the world was awakened from its sleep and found the soul. Aroused from its sleep a fiery serpent rises up out of the soulless and mindless dark night of the Inconscient. Unwinding its coils rises up and touches and kisses all the Centres. (Kundalini Yoga by mighty descent). Many Powers and Divinities burst forth from their hidden place and each part of the Being of CHETNA vibrates with delight and overwhelms with waves of happiness.
“O soul, my soul, we have created Heaven,
Within we have found the kingdom here of God,
His fortress built in a loud ignorant world.
Our life is entrenched between two rivers of Light;
We have turned space into a gulf of peace
And made the body a Capitol of bliss.
What more, what more, if more must still be done?”
In the slow process of the evolving spirit,
In the brief stade between a death and birth
A first perfection’s stage is reached at last;
Out of the wood and stone of our nature’s stuff
A temple is shaped where the high gods could live.
Even if the struggling world is left outside
One man’s perfection still can save the world.
There is won a new proximity to the skies,
A first betrothal of the Earth to Heaven,
A deep concordat between Truth and Life:
A camp of God is pitched in human time.”
No more does she see the dark formation of Fate around the beloved head of SATYA; instead, her newly - opened foreseeing eye perceives a golden halo around SUPERNAL radiance, revealing a fully rounded victorious life. Once as she is sitting deeply happy in contemplation, still vibrating to the thrill of SATYA’S strong embrace spanning earth and heaven with her joy, transported to the very heavens in her bliss, suddenly an abyss open wide beneath her heart. A Dark Voice speaks to her: "Know thyself finally for what thou truly art. Know that thou art not real. Cease to strive after all this vain existence".
Then this shadow of the all Negating Absolute passes, the Darkness that would allow nothing else to exist surges past; and the dominating voice ebbs away leaving behind CHETNA’S inner world laid waste by its vibrations. Thus she passes through the Buddha’s NIRVANA state of being.
Then a greater Voice comes down from the heights of her being. It is the Word that straight touches the heart and discovers the soul; it is the voice of the abiding Light after the Voice the dark Night dies down. The unnerving cry of the abyss below has drawn forth the reply from Heaven above. The might of the storm is driven away by the might of the eternal sun of truth.
“O soul, do not expose thy kingdom to the enemy. Conceal thy sovereignty of bliss so that Time and Fate may not find their way to invade it. Hide, while still thou canst, thy precious individual self behind thy luminous depths, till it grows part of a vaster self and so becomes invulnerable.
Suspend for a while thy state of divinity that thou hast realized lately, and consent to be small and human on this earth in order that man may come to discover his real being in God.” CHETNA hears this mighty and uplifting voice. She bows her head and muses, delving into her own depths in the solitude of her soul, in that Night of silence. Liberation into formlessness comes upon CHETNA. Once entombed alive in material brain and flesh she now rises above body, mind, life. She ceases to be a finite Person in the world; To all she appears to be the same as before; her acts move in the same old grooves, her words are the same as those she has always spoken, her doings the same as those she has always done. Only her consciousness that watches is different; it is empty of everything; the bare Reality alone remains.
She becomes the bed on which the whole Cosmos flowers. She is Time and the pourings of Divine in Time; she is Space and the extension of Divine in his becomings. From this too she rises into a state beyond Time and Space. She breathes the air of the Superconscient; the whole infinity is the natural space for her movement: She becomes one with Eternity and through her Eternity looks upon Time.
One day as CHETNA is in her deep contemplation Suddenly her bodies CELLS awaken and dance with Joy and FREEDOM. She hears a voice:” Almighty powers are shut in nature’s cells.” Her consciousness becomes micro and listens to cellular mind and voice of the cells. CHETNA goes into those towers of the DNA and into something new: a glimpse of pulsing light from which those lattices were made. It was terrifying… she glimpses their atomic pattern!!! She is pulled into the depths. Suddenly there was a freedom - CHETNA’s CONSCIOUSNESS feels it. CHETNA moves through her body, as if it is a swarming sea. RIBOSOMES, MITOCHONDRIA, STRANDS of RNA filled the space she moved through. Gently she is getting to know them.
Someday… perhaps, I’ll assist in their slight reconstruction. Then, through a gentle nod of the head, the old code will give way to new TIDINGS. What gives you the sense of a REAL existence - that particular sensation has to disappear and is replaced by… SOME THING, which is beyond words. It’s like a Universal pulsation.A sort of completely decentralised consciousness (still speaking of physical consciousness) a decentralised consciousness that happened to be here, or there in this body, that body, (in what people call ‘this person’ or ‘that person’ - but that notion no longer makes much sense).
Then, a sort of Universal consciousness intervened among the cells, and it was as if that consciousness were asking the CELLS. Voice of the Universal Consciousness speaks: “Why you want to keep this present combination or aggregate … the difficulties resulting from the great number of years… the external limitations, or all the deterioration caused by wear and tear.”
Cells indifferently reply: “but it won’t make any difference for us???”
Voice speaks:” look here are the problems…these problems were clearly seen. The minds ingrained sort of pessimism.”
Cells reply:” we don’t care less!!! It seems like an accident or an unavoidable disease. Anyway.. It is not part of our normal development. (cells looking at each other) and this had been forced upon us. We don’t care!! (reckless naughty cells)
From that moment on there emerged a sort of ‘lower power’ to act on that physical mind of cells, which brought about a material ability to separate oneself from it and reject it… it really seemed something decisive had happened. So then, there was a kind of burst of confident joy.
CHETNA’s conscious being of Light so VAST embraces the whole earth, the whole of matter all men in it… changes to luminous spots of CELLS. ONE BODY of light…It’s all LIGHT, all-power, all-LOVE; it’s so full that nothing else can exist beside that. DEATH is an illusion, sickness is an illusion, ignorance is an illusion! - Something that has no reality, no existence… only LOVE and LOVE, and LOVE - immense, formidable, stupendous, carrying everything. And the thing is DONE. Cells like attentively this VOICE
Cells jumping with joy cry:” at last, we are free of this nightmare! We are f…r..e..eeee”
Thus CHETNA in the Fourth Dimension of her Universal consciousness conquers death, indeed mutates them and alters their genetic code of habit of death in the mind and consciousness of the cells itself.
The fatal day arrives and it is their first wedding anniversary. Early morning CHETANA’s goes to Matrimandir to concentrate and wakes up still sleeping SATYA with a deep kiss and embraces him, she reminds him the day and he wishes her. That day CHETNA goes with SATYA to Aurogreen Forest to accompany him. She is no more grieving in herself; she is calm, ready to face the fatal stroke of the fate.
In the noon, while driving in the forest suddenly with a cry of chest pain, SATYA clings to CHETNA’s shoulders. She takes him out and makes him lie in her lap while SATYA asks her “ CHETNA.. CHETNA.. CHETNA.. KISS ME WHILE I DIE” and uttering these words collapses… she KISSES him and persuades to bring back his life with her living mouth…. She feels near her a huge silent shadow of darkness making dark and chilly the bright and warm light of noon. She realizes that Death in a visible form is standing there and that SATYA has passed away from her embrace.
For the Life Divine to really begin on earth death must be conquered... it must end... CHETNA must win SATYA back.... this she does, fulfilling her research and her Love... DEATH is a psychological concept which has to be conquered in the most physical sense of mind …this we see in the next series.. FOURTH DIMENSION Love and Death.

I've started out in 1986, as an asst. to a leading art director in Mollywood (south film industry which is actually contributing about 700 films a year and technically very advanced with innovative themes) - worked for top banners under the direction of Guinness book director Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao . Then in 1988 I finally ended up acting with Jaya Prada -'the most beautiful face of the Indian screen' -according to Academy director late Satyajit Ray. When I was getting offers to act, I moved to Bollywood to associate with Tarachand Barjatya of Rajshri Productions - while, he was producing two of the most successful films (Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun!) ever made subsequently in the history of Indian cinema. Then in 1992, when she just completing her directorial debut by giving a major break to today's King Khan Sahruk in Dil Aashna Hain -I met Hema Malini-'the Dream Girl of Bollywood', to co-produce, co-direct and act in an epic film, which was eventually turned into a Hollywood project and compelled me to become a screen writer. Fourth Dimension, the screenplay adaptation of Sri Aurobindo's epic poem SAVITRI that will be followed by 6 sequels was ready in 1999 and it was registered with WGA, LA in Feb.1999.
About this magnificent visionary epic poem Dr. Frederic Spielberg, Stanford University says:"I shall not restrict Sri Aurobindo's greatness to this age only. We have Plato, Spinoza, Kant and Hegel, but they do not have the same all-embracing metaphysical structure, they do not have the same vision."
About 24,000 lines blank verse makes it the largest epic poem in English language. On which the poet worked almost 50 years, till his last breath perfecting this cosmic poem in to a MANTRA FOR THE TARNSFORMAITON of the world.
The Mohter says: “In truth, the entire form of Savitri has descended "en masse" from the highest region and Sri Aurobindo with His genius only arranged the lines - in a superb and magnificent style. Sometimes entire lines were revealed and He has left them intact; He worked hard, untiringly, so that the inspiration could come from the highest possible summit. And what a work He has created! Yes, it is a true creation in itself. It is an unequalled work. Everything is there, and it is put in such a simple, such a clear form; verses perfectly harmonious, limpid and eternally true. My child, I have read so many things, but I have never come across anything, which could be compared with Savitri. I have studied the best works in Greek, Latin, English and of course French literature, also in German and all the great creations of the West and the East, including the great epics; but I repeat it, I have not found anywhere anything comparable with Savitri. All these literary works seems to me empty, flat, hollow, without any deep reality - apart from a few rare exceptions, and these too represent only a small fraction of what Savitri is. What grandeur, what amplitude, what reality: it is something immortal and eternal He has created. I tell you once again there is nothing like in it the whole world. Even if one puts aside the vision of the reality, that is, the essential substance which is the heart of the inspiration, and considers only the lines in themselves, one will find them unique, of the highest classical kind. What He has created is something man cannot imagine. For, everything is there, everything.”

During this conference Raj Atluru, MD Draper Fisher Jurvetson showed considerable interest, and they would like to see more support from other production houses. Also in the past, soon after the completion of the screenplay in 1999, I've approached David Ortiz, Feature Executive Warner Bros , who is at present with Universal Pictures. In 2001, a proposal along with Screenplay and estimated Budget has been forwarded by UNESCO Asia chief R.P.Perera from Delhi, who was recomended by the Minsitry of HRD. During this time I've also approached the Department of Biotechnology. Later in BOMBAY I've aproached Rajshri Productions, Yashraj Films and at last IN Network - the proposal was actually sent to Ashok Hinduja, the Chairman Hinduja Group. At present pursuing with BIG Entertainment and in contact with Tina Ambani, in Sep 2008, a proposal has been sent to Anil Ambani, the Chairman Reliance ADA Group. Hope this collaboration would materialize soon to realize the project. Latest thing is just forwarded a QUERY to Ronnie Screwvala of UTV Motion Pictures Also, recently invitations to join the adventure were sent to... Savitri Jindal, Indu Jain, Parmeshwar Godrej and Mukesh & Nita Ambani. It could be some one chosen by the Divine and who has the opening towards the Future and the New World that is waitng to manifest.
